Food Education

In the comfort of your own home, we will dive into organizing your kitchen to be more supportive and inspiring for YOU while building your skills in culinary magic. Whether you are new to cooking or already have some experience, the goal is to meet you where you are and build from there.

Food comes from nature, which is innately beautiful, vibrant and sensual. Every time we kneel and engage with the great Mother and her offerings, she replenishes us right back. The art of cooking shows us the pure simplicities of gathering and creating, and the medicine becomes the entire experience. From bringing the ingredients into the kitchen, to chopping and cooking, serving and then indulging. Sensuality, inspiration and healing all take place at once when we start to fully connect to what we eat. I find this helps bring us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us, making way for the ancient and natural practices to have precedence again.

In this offering, we will blend holistic health practices influenced from kitchen herbalism, Ayurvedic medicine, and nutrition while diving into the foundations of cooking.

Some examples of what we will dive into based upon your cooking level:

-importance of fats, salts, and acids

-sauces, broths, soups, and elixirs

-how to curate balanced and delicous meals

-art within food

-desserts

-homemade ghee and herbal honeys

-world cuisine

-fermentation

-spice combining

-importance of shopping local and seasonally

Our kitchens are a place of birthing new forms of ourselves and infusing our lives with the most greatest abundance and deep connection. My dream is that you leave with more confidence in the kitchen and experience this deep medicine of food to body to spirit connection.

I hope to go on this journey with you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support. May we all flourish into our most radiant, authentic selves through our relationship with the earth and her bounty.

I have struggled with cooking for myself my whole life. It was not a big deal until my metabolism changed. I have battled with tons of different eating plans over the years. In the past I cooked to the best of my ability with guidance from package directions and some adventures trial and error. My cooking was horrible and barely worth eating. I met Chelsea and was interested in her skills as a chef but unfortunately for me she was not offering cooking lessons at the time. Fast forward a few years later and lucky me gets to work with Chelsea in the kitchen. We have had a half dozen cooking session and it’s not only the cooking but the whole package. We have been to the local farmers market and grocery store a few times together and at each place we went over what to look for and learned more of what I was looking at by using my senses. We work on food journaling also. When we cook together it starts with a simple idea and outline but as we go into cooking mode, there’s tons of room for using what inspiration arises. We have guidelines but there are no rules. Ive learned to feel and listen to what comes up and stay inspired to try those things out while following a general order of alchemy in the kitchen. We always eat what we have cooked, and every meal has been the greatest meal I have ever cooked. I am a bit lazy when it comes to cooking for myself but now, I am currently eating out less and cooking for myself more. I have cooked for some of my friends, and they have been excited to receive my cooking as a gift. We finish every class by doing the dishes and a short walk to go over what we have learned. Chelsea really provides the whole package and out does herself constantly. I have truly been blessed to have been able to receive lessons from such an amazingly skilled chef.
