What is Conscious Culinary

Sensual and conscious cooking, herbalism and regenerative practices are the core foundations that form my reality. I believe that the best way to heal our bodies, expand community and experience the magic of food as medicine is by connecting back to the land and eating a more primitive/traditional inspired diet.

Over the past 5 years I have studied an array of cooking methods from traditional French cooking and baking at Le Cordon Bleu, to Ayurveda at The dhyana Center in Sebastopol, to learning Kitchen witchery through Starhawks Earth Activists online. I’ve also experimented with kitchen herbalism, world cuisine, gluten free, vegan, paleo, and ketogenic cooking. I’ve found all of these approaches to food each have their own special gifts and thus all have made their way into my culinary repertoire. The dance between traditions builds a melting pot of creativity waiting to be expressed. When it comes to cooking and healing our bodies, the roads are abundant and limitless.

When cooking for postpartum, my focus is on warming the new mother from the inside, giving her body the support to rebuild and regenerate. As a traveling chef, the new mamma can enjoy being served the food in her very own home so that she and the new born baby can rest and connect.

Cooking classes are for those who want to join together with their beloved(s), or simply for a 1:1 experience, and dive into a focus for some fun and knowledge. Whether its an aphrodisiac infused cooking class, chocolate extravaganza, or middle eastern foods, be prepared for a joyful time that will connect you more to your creativity and wisdom in the kitchen.

As a freelance chef and culinary artist, cooking for retreats or private parties are one of my greatest joys. From formulating the ascetics, to food plating, cooking, and then the party itself, I am here to serve and create with you.
